Pete, it was not so long ago that you could legally own a slave. Elected representatives (Congress) concluded that black people were 3/5 of a person, and were therefore not entitled to the full protection of the law. Consequently, they could also be “owned” by other people.

Was Congress wrong? Or does popular opinion, however arbitrarily, actually dictate the factual worth of a human being, and therefore whether they, too, have been bestowed with certain inalienable rights?

In more recent history, the Jews were considered subhuman by the State of Nazi Germany. The law was the law. Does that make it right?

Please, Mother and Father, please seek Jesus. He loves you and He loves your baby. He, with you, created your beautiful baby to have a life filled with joys and sorrows, confidence and anxiety, trials and successes. He also loves the parents you may choose for your baby if you become open to the beautiful gift of adoption. Your baby is a beautiful gift from God-to whomever the parents are, as well as to the rest of the world, whether the hearts of the world choose to see your baby as a gift or not. I know this comment will result in alot of bad comments, but I just want you to know He REALLY does love you. Please find a Christian minister to share your, and your baby’s, journey. Please, above all else, please know that Jesus truly loves you and He loves, loves, loves your baby. Please don’t let others dictate your baby’s murder. Please consider the beauty of adoption. Please allow Jesus to help you. May the love of Christ enter your hearts and guide you. May the peace of Christ find you. + + +
December 9th is my birthday. I beg you, please, the greatest gift I could receive (even though we don’t know each other) is the knowlege that your baby’s life is spared and, even more, that you seek Our Lord. Please believe me when I tell you He loves you.

Dear “Zachery”

At first, I shared your opinion. As a vaunted lurker, I found it somewhat repulsive to rig a vote for an abortion.

Then, I thought about it. These people are leaving a decision to abort or keep a baby to an online poll from a shitty blog. They have earned the wrath of/b/.

Whatever your morals on abortion are, the decision is a serious one. It is repulsive to leave that decision to strangers. So, leave the decision to the most repulsive strangers out there–anon.

You may or may not know of this site called 4Chan.It was on this site i found out about this poll( sites full of random things)Anyway, The site is full of people who have a deeply disturbed sense of humor (me to a little), and all the users are voting to abort just for a cheap laugh, so if your serious about doing what the poll decides, then you’ll just be entertaining a bunch of psychotic individuals. I beg you not to get an abortion just because of this poll.

Even if the pro-life side “wins” what have we really won? You’ll still look at your baby with regret and be disgruntled towards her. What if you shun her? Or take your anger out on her? I hate to think of the day your baby may see this website and ask you “Mom, dad, you really didn’t want me so much that you would rather have me dead?” That will hurt.

Hello,
I would just like to offer some food for thought. You are relying on the fact that abortion is legal as a justification. Remember that once upon a time slavery was legal too. Did that make it OK? Laws are only as good as the morality “du jour.” I had an abortion in 1992 because I trusted that it must be OK if the Supreme Court said so. Unfortunately, I have suffered terribly in many ways since the abortion. And I mourn the loss of that child. Some laws are written in our hearts until the make it onto the books.

This is one of the most horrific things I have ever read. This is a baby and his/her life is not some sort of joke. This precious human beings life should not be up for vote. God is the only one who should be able to decides this babies life. Somebody out there would love to give this baby a wonderful home filled with love. Give this child life and then if you want to walk away give it up for adoption. Respect life. A person has every right to life no matter what they have, don’t have ans so on. Give this child life and don’t be selfish and think about yourself.
